Celeb Style #3- Bridgit Mendler

Finally I've gotten around to doing another celebrity Style take.
I decided to do Bridgit Mendler because I love her as an actress and a musical artist. Shes top notch at both! I was sat front row VIP at one of her summer tour shows back in August and she was fantastic! A great entertainer and a lovely singer.

    Alright now on to her style. Her style is all over the place. In a good way. It ranges from girly to edgy and beyond. One thing that's always the same though is she likes her statement pieces and her patterns. And it all looks fabulous on her. Don't take my word for it though.. Here have a look at some of my Favorites, and make your own decision.

DIY: Make-up storage

It's another DIY and I am in Love with this one.

First off what you need;
1. Different style candle holders
2. Dollar tree candle stick holders
3. Super glue

 Its one of the simplest DIYs I've ever done.
The First and only step:  You just Put glue on the top of the candle stick holder and then place the candle holder on top of it. (for extra strength you can also put glue on the bottom of the candle holder.)

 Then you just repeat this step for as many as you wanna make.

 And there you have it. Simple as that!
I love these because they are super easy,cheap, classy and just lovely!

 I am using mine as make-up storage but you can really use them for anything, anywhere.
Kitchen, bathroom, living room..etc. They are just a lovely DIY decoration.

Hope you guys enjoyed this DIY (although there wasn't much to it.) and I hope you try it as well!

Back to school 2013: Back to school essentials.

Alright time for part 2 of my back to school series. Ladies we are talking all things in beauty for back to school essentials. 10 things you don't wanna leave the house without. We don't want to leave any of this out. You never know what can happen in a day and you don't wanna be without any of these.

#1:
 Deodorant. You don't want to be smelly after gym or a work out. So it's good to always have this in your purse or locker.

#2:
   Oil remover wipes. Good to have for hot days and days when your going to be very busy. There really easy and nice to just take away that oily shine.

#3:
Chap stick. Never want to be with out this it is always needed.

#4:
Concealer. You just never know what kind of day your face is going to be having..Good to have handy.

#5:
Mascara. Always good to give you that awake and more put together look.

#6:
A little lip stick or lip gloss never hurt anyone. When your make up looks right it just gives you more confidence.

#7:
 For that time of month.. you know what you need ;)

#8:
  Hand sanitizer. You want to stay clean and healthy. It's always a good thing to have on you. (bath and body works has the best smells)

#9:
Tide to go. Best thing ever for those of us who are a little messier/clumsier.

#10:
Hair brush, bobby pins and hair ties. Whatever your hair may need.. You never really know what kinda day your hair is gonna have..

DIY: Cut Off Jeans With Lace Detail

Lace  detailed shorts are very in right now, which makes them very pricy.. which makes them just a little out of my budget.. So I decided to make them myself. And since they turned out so swell and are SUPER easy I thought I'd share How to with yall!

 First off what you need:
1.A pair of jeans( I got mine from a thrift shop, mine are high waisted)
2.Scissors
3. Lace( I got mine from Wal-Mart)
4. Liquid stitch

Step one. cut off your jeans. Any length you prefer. Remember  its better to cut longer first because you can always cut more off but you cant add any back on.

 Step two:  Once you've cut your jeans give it some fringe (this step is optional I just think it looks better) take your scissors just like in the picture and slide them back and forth to give it that worn look.

 Step 3: Add the lace. Just cut the lace and place it where you think it will look best ( But don't glue yet you wanna make sure it looks good first!)

Step 4: once you place it where you like  it go ahead and use your liquid stitch to put it in place.

 Leave it to dry 30 plus minutes. And then viola you have cut off lace detail shorts. SO simple I can do it!
