Go Red Fashion Show 2014

Hey Guys, so today I thought I would share with you my most recent modeling experience.
It was a Go Red Fashion Show in Boston Ma.
What is Go Red? you ask, well it is a fashion show expo put on by the  Heart Health Association. This particular event was called "Go Red for Women" and it was to raise awareness of heart diseases in women.

Okay, now on to what I was doing there. I was there as a model for the fashion show part of the event to showcase two designers.  The show was a luncheon which I loved because we didn't have to stay all day.

Before I get more into the designers and what I wore, I'm going to tell you how the day went.
It was an early morning for me (and my lovely parents who drove me in) 6am to be exact, which yes is very early to me. We live 2 hours from Boston and call time was 9am. When we arrived I went to the room set aside for the event in the Sheraton Hotel downtown Boston and went right to make-up (after filling out information papers). The make- up look everyone got was a neutral smoky eye and nude lips. After that I went to hair. The hair look everyone got was a sleek pony tail. (which I always hate the slicked back looks because I have an ear that sticks out a little far on the left side.)

While I was getting my hair done, one of the designers found out some of her models couldn't make it so she had me try on some things and ended up liking me in one of her dresses.
I was originally only going to be wearing for one designer, but now I had the opportunity to walk twice and I was very excited!
Here is a peek at some of the designs..

After that we went to rehearsing for the first designer. I was the last look to walk and I walked out with the designer and then walked the runway myself met her in the middle on my way back and clapped for her.  We then walked hand in hand off the runway. You know the usual. Here is a little glimpse of the runway and audience set up. (I shot it through a crack in the wall.) This is just the start of the runway and a few tables..

After rehearsal we had finishing touches and lunch. After lunch we got dressed refreshed our lip stick and got our heels on.
Then it was show time. And surprisingly I wasn't nervous at all. I walked for the first designer and everything went smoothly we exited the runway and I ran backstage for my quick change. I got in the other dress and as they were trying to zip me up(in the dark mind you) they were also calling me to get in line so I'm running while being zipped and finally the designer gets it up and starts adjusting the dress and  then "POP" the zipper breaks and now the dress is not suited for the runway. And this also happened to one of his other dresses. (bad zippers maybe?) So I only walked once due to that malfunction. But all in all it was a great show with lovely designers and fabulous designs. And of course, beautiful models.

The designer I did get to walk for was Ashely Cushon. Her designs were amazing, and I'm not just saying that. They were very well made and such beautiful patterns.
Here is what I modeled for her.

And here is a picture of me with her.

As for the other dress. It was very pretty and made me very excited for spring. All of his designs looked like they belonged at a red carpet event.
This is the one I was supposed to walk in..

And after taking pictures we were free to go. So I said my goodbyes, grabbed a few snacks from the lunch table  (probably not the smartest for a model but it was free) and left. And it was only 12:30. Pretty productive day I'd say!

Alrighty, that about sums it up! If you liked reading about my modeling experiences, let me know by commenting or liking it! Thanks for reading!
